Stability of hybrid linear stochastic systems - a technical tool in recursive identification

چکیده
The identification of continuous-time stochastic systems, in particular recursive estimation, is a basic building block for continuous-time stochastic adaptive filtering and control as well, see the works of Van Schuppen, Duncan and Pasik-Duncan. In these papers the underlying stochastic systems is essentially an AR-system, for which the recursive maximum-likelihood (RML) estimation reduces to a recursive least squares (RLSQ) estimation. Recursive estimation in the same generality has been studied by DeWolf and Wiberg, under the condition that the process is stopped if it reached the boundary of a truncation domain. A rigorous convergence theory for a restricted class of non-linear stochastic systems has been given by Levanony and Zeitouini for explicit systems.

Stability and numerical solution of time variant linear systems with delay in both the state and control
In this paper, stability for uncertain time variant linear systems with time delay is studied. A new sufficient condition for delay-dependent systems is given in matrix inequality form which depends on the range of delay. Then, we introduce a new direct computational method to solve delay systems. This method consists of reducing the delay problem to a set of algebraic equations by first expand...
متن کاملIdentification of Multiple Input-multiple Output Non-linear System Cement Rotary Kiln using Stochastic Gradient-based Rough-neural Network
Because of the existing interactions among the variables of a multiple input-multiple output (MIMO) nonlinear system, its identification is a difficult task, particularly in the presence of uncertainties. Cement rotary kiln (CRK) is a MIMO nonlinear system in the cement factory with a complicated mechanism and uncertain disturbances. The identification of CRK is very important for different pur...
متن کاملA hybrid method with optimal stability properties for the numerical solution of stiff differential systems
In this paper, we consider the construction of a new class of numerical methods based on the backward differentiation formulas (BDFs) that be equipped by including two off--step points. We represent these methods from general linear methods (GLMs) point of view which provides an easy process to improve their stability properties and implementation in a variable stepsize mode. These superioritie...
متن کاملIdentification and Control of MIMO Systems with State Time Delay (Short Communication)
Time-delay identification is one of the most important parameters in designing controllers. In the cases where the number of inputs and outputs in a system are more than one, this identification is of great concern. In this paper, a novel autocorrelation-based scheme for the state variable time-delay identification for multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system has been presented. This method is ba...
متن کاملNon-linear Fractional-Order Chaotic Systems Identification with Approximated Fractional-Order Derivative based on a Hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization-Genetic Algorithm Method
Although many mathematicians have searched on the fractional calculus since many years ago, but its application in engineering, especially in modeling and control, does not have many antecedents. Since there are much freedom in choosing the order of differentiator and integrator in fractional calculus, it is possible to model the physical systems accurately. This paper deals with time-domain id...
